A couple of Setbacks!

It always seems to be that I need reminders to slow down.  I had planned to start my summer adventure on Tuesday. My plans were blown when my wallet was stolen on Monday afternoon. I can only kick myself in that I left my wallet on the dash of Pegasus while I ran to open a garage door. In less than a minute, my brand new and adorable wristlet disappeared! I can be thankful that the thief was kind enough to slip my phone out of the pocket and leave it on the dash (my best guess is that he knew I would have been tracking him with the find my iPhone App). He then went on a shopping spree! The sheriff said that I was targeted because of my withdrawal at a neighborhood ATM. I rarely use ATMs! But since I wanted some cash for the trip, I let my guard down. The detective working the case has a good photo of the guy, but I didn't recognize him or his car.  So on Tuesday I drove to Columbus, Texas to get a replacement Driver's License.  It's only an hour away and takes about five minutes to get a replacement there.  In Houston it's always an all day event! As I was driving home from Columbus, the check DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) light came on. So, I drove over to the lake to take Pegasus to the Mercedes Sprinter facility in Boerne. There was a defective DEF thermostat causing the problem. It is a warranty item, but the required part was in Ft Worth.  The good news is that Pegasus, the replacement part and I are now all in the same place.  The bad news is that now I will have to start my adventure with the holiday masses.  I had hoped to be in Montana before the long weekend warriors hit the road.  But I was able to do some necessary pool maintenance and even got some items returned.  I also stopped at Camping World and bought LED lights to replace the bulbs in all of the ceiling fixtures in Pegasus.  Hopefully tomorrow will be the day that our adventure begins!
